Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna. The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm, on this Janmashtami day, in India.

Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Krishnashtami, is observed on the Ashtami tithi, the eighth day of the dark half or Krishna Paksha of the month of Shraavana. Lord Krishna is known worldwide and celebrated as an avatar of God Vishnu.

On Thursday, 18 of August 2022, the students of Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Janmashtami. The students from NURSERY TO CLASS 2 came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. A short puja of ladoo Gopalji was conducted and importance of janmashtami was explained by teachers.

Various activities were conducted.
