May Lord Ganesh give you – A rainbow for every storm, a smile for every tear, a promise for every care, and an answer to every prayer!

Festivals build group cohesiveness, bring people together, break the monotony of routine, and energise the body, mind, and spirit. Echoing this festive spirit, the Pre-primary and grade1 and 2 students of Amrita Vidyalayam School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on 30th August 2022.

Ganesha is the first to be worshiped among all the gods in Hindu mythology. He is known as the God of prosperity and wisdom who removes all obstacles, bestows happiness, and spreads peace.

Celebration started with Ganesh Aarti was done by Sharanyamrita Chaitanaya ma’am. Various class activities were conducted for pre- primary classes.

1) Jr.kg – making of ‘Ganesha’ from paper cups using yellow origami paper

2) Sr.kg – Collage work (Ganesh idol by using yellow origami paper).

Teacher’s explained about importance of Ganesh Chaturti in form of story. Students of Jr.kg & Sr.kg donned Yellow colour attire to pep up the celebration mood and to celebrate the Yellow Day.

The festival brought devotion, creativity, understanding and learning. Overall it was an enjoyable day for all.
