MARATHI BHASHA DIWAS 27th February’2022
Marathi Language Day is celebrated on February 27 every year across Maharashtra to honour the birth anniversary of Vi. Va. Shirwadkar, fondly known as ‘Kusumagraj’. He was an eminent Marathi poet, playwright, novelist, short story writer and humanist.
The day is celebrated to recognise and honour the greatness of Marathi literature. The Marathi language, which contains some of the oldest literature of all modern Indo-Aryan languages, is one of the most spoken languages in India with 42 dialects.
Amrita Vidyalayam teachers and students left no stone unturned while celebrating Marathi Bhasha Diwas. Their love for the language can be seen in the video (link mentioned below).

Teachers too, could not resist themselves from singing the famous “Labhale Amhas Bhagya Bolato Marathi”. This song represents the Marathi language and elevates the zest and pride to another level. It makes one realize the importance of Mother tongue, ‘Marathi’ to the people of Maharashtra.
