Karthika Puja

Karthika Puja is done every month at school to inculcate cultural values in children in which parents also participate with great enthusiasm. On 10^th of April we celebrated Kartika puja in which our class IX students, parents and staff took part. The program was organised by the cultural committee with the help of teachers.

Program began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp which was then followed by chanting of mantras and Amma’s 108 names. Parents and students whole heartedly did the puja by offering flower petals at Amma’s holy lotus feet. Singing of bhajans and meditation was done under the guidance of Brni.Sharanyamrita Chaitanyaji.

She also addressed the parents in her Satsang explaining the importance of being happy and satisfied in life and not to be greedy and restless in life. She spoke about the importance of God and said we must remember him in our good as well as bad times. We should do Mantra Japa constantly in our mind irrespective whatever work we are doing. She advised the parents to inculcate the habit of daily prayer amongst the students.

Program ended with maha arati which was performed by the teachers after which all present took Amma’s blessings with Prasad.
