The school was filled with colorful hues of Krishnas and Radhas as Pre-Primaryy and Primary school children of Amrita Vidyalayam came dressed in traditional Chaniya Cholis and Dhotis to celebrate Janmashtami.
Principal Brni. Rekha applied Tilak on the children’s forehead. The celebrations started with a prayer and Aarti was performed for Lord Krishna.
The young Govindas formed small pyramids for Dahi Handi and were cheerfully uttering Jai Shri Krishna. Girls and Boys played with gay abandon in the Matki Tod activity. The celebrations brought big smiles on the faces of the students when they saw their teachers, dance the traditional Garba and enjoyed dancing themselves.
Brni. Rekha distributed sweets to all the children at the end of the celebrations.
