World Senior Citizens’ Day

August 21 is observed as the World Senior Citizens’ Day with intend to acknowledge the contribution of elders to society and increase awareness of the issues faced by them. The purpose of celebrating this day involved moral, social and emotional values of all the senior citizens.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar initiated to celebrate this day with students of classes I – V where they expressed their love by making flower bouquets, greeting cards, and handwritten posters for their beloved grandparents.  They were taught to cherish the blessings bestowed upon them and the wisdom gained by having elders in our societies. They indeed help us to transform into the ‘BEST’ as their knowledge, experience, and ideas can always take us to greater heights.
