With the grace of Amma, the second year of Amrita Nursery which operates from Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Nerul, began on 12th June. An initiation programme for the parents was organised on the first day. The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and was followed by a prayer.
Principal Brni. Rekha addressed the audience and introduced the unique culture and the system of learning which is uniformly followed in all Amrita institutions. She also stressed on the importance of responsible parenting, which plays a crucial role in the development of children.
Br. Avyayamrita Chaitanya spoke about the divine grace of Amma and the various activities carried out by selfless volunteers in the ashram.
Amrita Nursery coordinator Mrs. Priya Menon introduced herself and also took the parents through the curriculum which will be followed during the course of the year. The Nursery teachers introduced themselves to the parents. The programme ended with Shanti Mantra. Sweets were distributed to all present.
