A highly informative one hour “Personal Safety Program” was conducted for the parents of 1st to 4th grades. The workshop was conducted in the school auditorium on 15/2/18 by Arpan. It is a child-centric organization which empowers children with adequate knowledge, attitude and skills to prevent instances of Child Abuse. Ms. Sujatha Doble, Ms. Anjana Salunkhe and Ms. Safina Sheikh were the resource persons who conducted each of the 4 sessions very well by guiding the parents to be aware of the various types of abuse, both, mental and physical that a child is subject to in their daily lives. The workshop was conducted to seek the consent of the parents to conduct child safety workshops for students of Amrita Vidyalayam. The parents understood that creating awareness on this sensitive issue is the need of the hour and heartily thanked the management for taking such an initiative.
