The school held an induction programme for the 11th graders on 10/06/19 in the school auditorium. The programme started with the traditional lighting of the lamp, which was followed by prayer. The students were formally welcomed into the Amrita Vidyalayam family by Principal Brni. Rekha.
The Principal introduced the unique culture and the system of learning which is uniformly followed in all Amrita institutions.
Quoting a Sanskrit verse, Brni. Rekha said “काक चेष्टा baको ध्यानम्, श्वान निद्रा तथैव च, अल्पहारी ,गृह त्यागी , विद्यार्थी पंच लक्षणम, which truly exemplifies the 5 values a student should observe in one’s life.
Head Teacher Mrs. Shanthi Sekar took the students through the system of discipline followed in the school, which included, regular attendance, proper uniforms, timely submission of class work and assessment and evaluation patterns. Sr. Secondary subject teachers introduced themselves and spoke a few words.
The wonderful programme concluded with the chanting of Shanti Mantra.
