Children are the true mascots when it comes to the above said. Their act is selfless and the love is unconditional. Lord Krishna, whose never ending stories have directed us to understand the morals of life, his birth, known as KRISHNA JANAMASHTAMI or Gopalkala was celebrated by Amrita Nursery students on 30th August 2021. Students were dressed exclusively in bright coloured outfits, posing as Krishnas’ and Radhas’ followed by various fun. A video on Krishna janamashtami was shown to students and teachers orated a few interesting incidence to the students.
Nursery tots learnt to make Krishna’s MUKUT (Crown) with craft paper. They then decorated it and sang bhajans and recited a few shlokas from the Bhagawad Geeta. ‘DAHI HANDI’ was decorated by our Jr.Kg and Sr.Kg students after they knew the story of Lord Krishna and how important was ‘Makhan’ to him.
The fun session of celebrating Janamashtami came to an end with the smiles on these little pre-schoolers as they danced to the tunes of Krishna’s flute.
