“Amrita Vidyalayam is undertaking the BHUTAYAGNAM PROJECT.” – a thoughtful bird-feeding initiative aimed at instilling values of kindness, care, and environmental responsibility in young minds. Under this project, students from Nursery to Class 2 receive a spoonful of Bajra every Tuesday and personally fill the bird feeders placed around the school campus.
By actively participating in feeding birds, children learn the joy of giving and develop a deep sense of compassion towards all living beings. This simple yet meaningful act not only nurtures empathy and responsibility but also encourages them to connect with nature and preserve its delicate balance.
The BHUTAYAGNAM PROJECT beautifully aligns with the school’s vision of holistic education, where values and love for nature are sown early and allowed to blossom in every child’s heart.
