Students of 9, 10th and 12th classes attended AYUDH workshop conducted on 24th April in the school auditorium. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Praveena and Ms. Jayasudha who are in the National Coordination team of AYUDH and Ms. Srisadha, Mumbai Coordinator.
Founded in Kerala in 1985, AYUDH now has units across Asia, Europe, North and South America, Africa and Australia. It is open to youth between 15 and 35 years of age, of all religions, genders, social and cultural backgrounds. AYUDH is active in more than 41 countries worldwide and 23 states in India.
The various social outreach activities conducted by AYUDH which included Personal Empowerment, Intercultural exchange, Green Initiatives was shown to students through a crisp audio visual presentation. Students freely interacted with the coordinators and shared their goals on contributing to the society. Active participation of students in the school’s Amritam Projects has instilled a sense of Social purpose at a very young age and has sensitized them towards the socioeconomic needs of the immediate society.
A few Sr. Secondary students of Amrita Vidyalayam attended the AYUDH programme held at Amritapuri campus last year. These students still sounded excited as they shared the wonderful experiences, the enriching sessions they attended. The knowledge gained by attending lectures of well accomplished personalities left a lasting impression upon the young minds.
Many students eagerly registered for the next AYUDH session and the coordinators were happy to note the excitement amongst the students of Amrita Vidyalayam.
