National Integration Day
National Integration Day is celebrated on November 19 every year. This year, the day marks the 104th birth anniversary of the first woman Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The day is celebrated to encourage people about unity, peace, love, and brotherhood among them. Besides being diverse in the Indian society in terms of culture, multiple languages, religions, geographical diversity, etc. the day promotes harmony.
Students from classes VI and VII of Amrita Vidyalayam, designed a few eye-catching posters and delivered speech on the occasion of National Integration Day. Insights were shown by the respective SST teachers and emphasis on the national integration modules was made. Quotes by Indira Gandhi and the importance of the day was discussed during the session.
