The auspicious Guru Purnima was celebrated with a lot of devotion for 2 days, 27th and 28th July in the School Auditorium. The stage was set beautifully by the teachers. Amma’s Paduka was decorated for offering flowers. Teachers and students, right from Amrita Nursery to 12th grades participated in the celebrations. The celebrations began with the prayer. Teachers offered flowers at the holy lotus feet of Amma while Ashtotram was chanted. Teachers and students chanted the Guru Stotram which was followed by the rendition of soulful bhajans. The teachers performed Amma’s aarti and the students were later guided to a few minutes of meditation. The programme ended with the chanting of Shanti Mantra. Students offered flowers at Amma’s feet and sought her blessings while they happily partook the Prasad.
