TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
Amma says youngsters need to understand the purpose of life. They need courage and wisdom to face the challenges of life. With that understanding they become the light of the world. If we care for them responsibly, moulding their whole character with love, then the future of the world will be safe. Teachers are instrumental in shaping the future citizens of the country.
Teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar participated in Teacher’s Day celebration of on 05/09/2022 in the school auditorium arranged by the cultural committee and student council.
The celebrations started with the lighting of the auspicious lamp and prayers to Amma. At the onset, the student council felicitated the teachers with a rose and a greeting card as a token of appreciation and love. Administrator Brni. Rekha acknowledged the contribution of the teachers. She emphasised on the role of teacher in the digital era and it is impossible to replace teachers with technology. Teachers should make the subject interesting by incorporating innovative methodologies in classroom teaching.
The programme then continued with a mesmerizing song “Shukriya” sung by the students of class 9 &12. Principal Mrs. Anupama Rao shared Amma’s vision of education and importance of starting the network of Amrita schools.
The programme then continued with a beautiful skit enacted by the student council. Amrit Tiwari student of class 10th recited a poem describing the role of a teacher in a student’s life.
The programme concluded with a thank you speech by the Head Boy Amey Desai, followed by the shanti mantra.
