International Day of Peace

The International Day of Peace is celebrated worldwide on 21 September every year. The UN General Assembly has declared this day as a day to commit to Peace amongst the nations across the globe. 24 hrs of non-violence and cease-fire is observed. This day promotes global solidarity for building a peaceful and sustainable world.

Students of classes VIII – X of Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar acknowledged this day by sharing information and the importance of peace. Some portrayed #Peace through posters, while others shared their views via speech and class discussions.

A day may not be enough to curb violence, but it is definitely strong enough to raise your voice of concern and understand the benefits of non-violence, thus helping each individual realize that the world can sustain itself without violence and war.
