International Literacy Day
The International Literacy Day is being observed on 8 September every year to remind that literacy is a matter of human rights and dignity across the world. A literate human can bring in societal, behavioural, cultural and personal change to sustain.
The theme this year was “Literacy for a Human-Centred Recovery: Narrowing the Digital Divide”.
Even in the times of global crisis, efforts have been made by us to find alternative ways to ensure the continuity of learning, including distance learning, often in combination with in-person learning. Teachers carried out some interesting class activities to promote’ World Literacy Day.
Students enjoyed making bookmarks, designed posters, penned moral stories and delivered speech and PPTs.
