NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
29th August is observed as the National Sports Day.
Sports play an important role in every child’s growth and is not confined only to fitness. Physical fitness is equally crucial as academics and the choice of sport can vary from person to person.
Some may be interested in water sports, while some would seek dance activities like Zumba. Some may prefer field sports like hockey and cricket, while others may meditate or practice yoga asanas.
Sports teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam, Juinagar have a clear vision to promote health and fitness to our students with age-appropriate sport activities.
This year, we dedicated the day to our nation’s Hockey Champion, Major Dhyan Chand.
